OVER 300 exhibitors have registered to participate in the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo set to be held from October 12 to 14 in Bulawayo.
The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) confirmed the participation of around 31 regional tourism companies from six countries, including South Africa, Zambia, Rwanda, Malawi, Botswana and Burundi.
ZTA is calling on tourism stakeholders and service providers to utilise the platform to establish partnerships, connections with international buyers, and improve the visibility of their offerings in the global market.
ZTA spokesperson, Godfrey Koti, said international buyers had started arriving for the expo.
“We are excited to receive the first batch of our international buyers today.
“We look forward to taking them on the pre and post expo tours and we are delighted to present this grand three-day showcase, positioning Zimbabwe as an exceptional destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and leisure.
“Through this expo, we strive to showcase the diverse possibilities and opportunities that Zimbabwe offers to individuals and businesses alike,” said Koti.
ZTA has called upon local tourism stakeholders to promptly register to secure their participation, as the deadline is rapidly approaching.
