Guest of honour Prophet Tapiwa Freddy bought Baba Harare’s CD for $5000 during the album launch.
The prophet who is known for spiritual spectacles bid the highest for the new album, Ramba Wakadzvanya before donating an additional $2 000.
Prophet Freddy surprised the fans during launch held at Longchen Plaza Mall.
Said Prophet Freddy:
“I started off as a singer and l know the hardships that musicians face that is the reason I am bond to support musicians.
“I was once a musician before I became a prophet” said Prophet Freddy.
Former manager of Baba Harare Voyage Dambuza gave the musician a stand in Warren Park as a package for have worked together.
“Baba Harare started his career with me and since my wife is now a pastor that is the reason l left Baba Harare but am giving him a stand in Warren Park infill,” said Voyage.
Voyage said they will on Monday go to the City Council to change the ownership of the stand.
“On Monday l will go with Baba Harare to the City Council and put the name of the stand in Baba Harare’s name,” added Voyage.
Some of the songs sampled by Harare include Ramba Wakadzvanya, Sadza Nebhinzi, Gama Ukande.
Musicians, Peter Moyo, Jah Signal, Romeo Gasa also performed during the launch and managed to keep fans on their feet.
