A whizkid when it comes to the calendar

A 20-year-old student has an amazing gift when it comes to the calendar.

He is studying for a national diploma in information technology at Kushinga Phikelela Polytechnic in Marondera.

Sean Mguni believes his talent is a natural gift from God.

“If you tell me a date, month and year, I can tell you the day in seconds.

“It’s something, which I started in 2012 when I was nine years old.

“I have been asked by several people how I do it, and I just feel it’s a talent that God gave me.

“It has nothing to do with calculations, but I can just tell in seconds. For example, my birthday will be on a Sunday, when I will be 97 years old,” said Mguni.

He added:

“I don’t forget easily and it’s a talent.

“Year by year, I polish my skills and as the years advance I feel I am improving.

“There are some calendars that have similarities, for example, the 2024 calendar is identical to that of 1996.

“I just work out in seconds and if there is a gap of 28 years in those calendars, it means they will be identical.”

Mguni acknowledges that this is separate from his academic performance, which requires hard work.

“For school work, one has to work hard. This is just a talent.”
