SEASONED comedian and marketer, Ma Very-Very, says he is from the old school and doesn’t see anything wrong with keeping his wife and family at his rural home in Bikita while he works elsewhere.

Right now, he is working in Mutare.

Born Wilson Masakadze, the 38-year-old says he also wants to be buried at his rural home when he dies.

“I was born and raised in Bikita where I did my primary and secondary education.

“My wife and kids stay in Bikita where I am developing my own ‘Borrowdale Mansion’ because I love my roots.

“I have advised my relatives that when I die, they should not bury me in Mutare where I work, but I want my remains to be interred in Bikita, which remains my favourite place,” he said.

The actor, who is famed for his jaw-dropping skits, insists he believes in the old ways where men used to keep their spouses in the rural areas.

“I am one of the breadwinners who believe that my family should stay in the rural areas.

“I don’t want to stay in a one-roomed apartment with my kids because I don’t want them to be mischievous.

“I can’t be intimate with my wife in the same room with my kids.

“You might think that vana vemazuva ano are sleeping yet they are hearing everything that you are doing between the sheets,” he said.

With his family staying in the rural areas, MaVery-Very conceded that he has battled temptations.

“To be honest, it’s difficult to control our sexual feelings as men, but I am managing.

“I make sure I visit my wife in Bikita twice or thrice a month.”

Ma Very-Very is happy with his achievements.

“To be honest, I am developing my rural home in Bikita and I want it to match households that you see in Borrowdale.

“I was also gifted with a Toyota Aqua by Sir Wicknell Chivayo, but I am yet to receive it since I am yet to get a driver’s licence.”

The father of four, who made his breakthrough in 2021,  shared his biggest dream.

“My biggest dream is to open a funeral parlour because I once worked for a firm which provided similar services.

“The only thing I won’t attempt is mining because it is taxing, I saw it when I worked in Arcturus,” he said.
