AFRO-FUSION musician, Agga Nyabinde, says he can’t wait for his maiden tour of the UK.
Agga, the son of veteran jazz crooner Bob Nyabinde, is part of a line-up taking part in the Rhythms of Southern Africa Tour, which begins in Cambridge on November 4.
He is billed to share the stage with Bulawayo jazz maestro Jeys Marabini, Lady Bee, Ma9nine, and South African singer Tshedi Mholo of the Malaika fame.
Shanyai Promotions is behind the tour.
“I am more than excited to be part of this show as it is an opportunity to be sharing the stage with Jeys Marabini, Ma9nine, Tshedi Mholo of the Malaika fame and Zahara.
“It’s like a dream come true. It is like a miracle, the event organisers, Shanyai Events, are into show promotions with a difference.
“They are hosting gigs with unique acts that have not been overexposed to the UK market so I guess that is why they chose us.”
Agga assured fans of a memorable show.
“It is going to be a tour they will never forget. We are prepared to serenade them and with the calibre of artists that are part of the show, it is going to be nothing but fireworks.
“For our brand, this invitation means a lot to us.
“It is a step in the right direction.
“During the Covid-19 era, we did a lot of online gigs and this grew our fan base especially those in the UK.
“They have been requesting us to come for quite some time now so to us this is an answered prayer.”
He added:
“We are going to hold six shows in the UK, the first one is in Cambridge on the 4th of November.
“We will be in Peterborough on the 25th of November, Guernsey on 2 December. We will publicise the full tour itinerary on our social media pages.
“We are going to end this year on a high note. We have a single track titled Honai coming up.
“It is a collaboration with Mbeu, a combination which our fans have been asking for, for some time now.”
