The 2019 edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show roars into life today at the Harare Exhibition Park.
The annual Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, which has been in existence for 123 years is the premier event organised by ZAS for the national facilitation and promotion of agricultural development in Zimbabwe.
It attracts more than 550 commercial exhibitors, 700 farmers, 200 micro enterprises and over a quarter of a million visitors annually.
The Show presents a unique business opportunity for national and regional organizations and is the highlight of many Harare residents’ annual entertainment calendar.
At least 600 exhibitors are showcasing their products and services under the theme “Technology, Innovation and Modernisation”.
The Show is running from today until Saturday 24th 2019 with the official opening to be held on Friday 23rd August.
ZAS head of programmes and public affairs, Roberta Katunga said that entrance fees on all other days are ZWL$10 for adults and ZWL$7 for children under 12 years.
“Over 30 artistes will perform from Monday to Saturday with the daily fireworks display, rejuvenated section displays and expert advice from agricultural specialists,” said Katunga.
Minister of Lands Agriculture and Rural Resettlement Retired Chief Air Marshal Perrance Shiri said that ZAS has included a livestock competition whereby excelling farmers would win prizes for showcasing their best animals at the Show.
