NGEZI coach Elroy Akbay says they will make sure they avoid mistakes that cost them in their reverse fixture against Hwange.
Ngezi face Hwange on Saturday at Baobab and hope to bounce back to winning ways coming from a 1-0 defeat at Mushowani.
The platinum miners lost 2-1 to Hwange in the first leg of the Premier Soccer League season.
“I hope we will be more focused in this game. We lost in the first half of the season, we made mistakes that cost us.
“But we want to get it right this time and get what we want, which is a positive result,” he said.
Akbay says he is ready for Hwange.
“We are ready for the challenge, we can’t afford to lose the points.
“It’s a game that we are hoping for a positive result because we did not do well in our last game against Mushowani, we lost so we are looking forward to collecting maximum points.
“We lost so I think we just have to prepare ourselves for the challenge to come.
“And I hope we will be ready for it when it comes. But we have been preparing well in training,” he said.
“We have to do our best and not make mistakes.
“We just want to fight and get a good result regardless of how tough the match will be because our opponents are also competitive and have been doing fairly well.”
The former Highlanders gaffer is faced with injuries which he says are a huge blow.
“We have been hit with injuries, we have four players who are injured and are probably not to feature in Hwange game.
“Mitchell Katsvairo, Donald Teguru, Ariel Makopa and Marlon Mushonga are injured. This is a huge blow for us since these are our key players.
“Their injuries will affect us but we are very much prepared to do our best.
“We hope that we will not have more injuries,” he said.
