NGEZI Platinum coach Erol Akbay says they need to continue collecting maximum points when they face relegation threatened TelOne at Ascot this Saturday.

Ngezi won their previous match, 2-0 over Herentals, to bounce back to winning ways after a defeat with an identical score line to Chicken Inn.

“It’s a very important game for us because we need to improve our position at the log table.

“We are coming from a win and we need to continue with that winning momentum when we play TelOne this Saturday,” said Akbay.

Since the arrival of Rahman Gumbo, the WIFI boys have improved managing a 4-1 win over Yadah and a draw away at Dynamos.

Akbay acknowledges his opponents will give them a difficult game come Saturday.

“In their last game they played very well, drawing against a team like Dynamos away from home.

“It really shows they are not a bad team at all and somewhere they were not winning their games and now the confidence is there.

“I give all credit to Rahman (Gumbo), he is doing a really good job with the team and I will be looking forward to face him,” he said.

He added:

“I guess we will go for it and redeem ourselves and that’s why we need to go there and win the game.

“We just need to focus since playing away is always difficult but we have to win the game and get on the right track on the log.
