Veteran dub-poet Albert Nyathi on Friday night saluted dancehall chanter Seh Calaz for promoting unity among musicians.
He showed his love for the chanter at the Harare Gardens on the sidelines of the Bholato Bholato Concert.
In an interview with H-Metro on the side-lines of the event, Nyathi hailed Seh Calaz for his hard work.
“Seh Calaz has done something good and creating an opportunity for upcoming musicians to show case their talent.
“I am here to support and to spot talent,” he said.
“I had to use the V.I.P gate with higher price to show a token of appreciation.
“Back in the days I used to share the stage with my friends that include the late Oliver Mtukudzi, Tangawekwasando, Jayz Marabini, Thomas Mapfumo and others.
“I am happy that Calaz has managed to lead by example,” said Nyati.
The poet also said he will be introducing a programme called Ants very soon.
“I am working on a programme called Ants.
“Ants stands for Albert Nyati Talent Search.
“This project will locate youths with talent in different communities.
“The project will help them to reach their goals.
“This will clearly show how much i love to promote youths when it comes to talent.
“We will be travelling to different cities in our country giving youths opportunities.
“We will try by all means that the show premiere on TV.”
