ORGANISERS of the Victoria Falls Mapopoma Festival are set to launch their roadmap on November 3, ahead of this year’s festival from December 29-31 in the premier resort town.

To mark the festival’s fifth-year running, event organisers have planned interesting breakaway events on all three days of the festival, including health and fitness programmes, and an on-site camping village called Campville in partnership with Nyaradzo Group SEAL branch.

Event organisers will launch their roadmap at the Glamis Arena on November 3.

Songbird Feli Nandi will share the stage with Dadza D, Gwevedzi, MC Taenda, DJ LRoy (Power FM),  Wako and Lewa.

Dollarbill Entertainment has been using the festival to promote Victoria Falls as a tourist attraction and provide local artists with exposure to exchange notes with their foreign counterparts.

In an interview with H-Metro, Hweva Mvura of Dollarbill Entertainment highlighted what makes this festival special.

“We have come out of three years of Covid-19 restrictions and going outdoor, very big and better.

“Campville comprises camping tent accommodation inclusive of breakfast, free Wi-Fi, free kids zone etc,” he said.

“We have a huge line-up that is appealing to both the young and the old and they are promising fireworks. Remember it’s the festive season and crossing over into 2024. Look out for some amazing acts and choreography with effects and lighting.
