INJURED Warriors and Golden Arrows defender, Divine Lunga, is positive the team will bring get positive results when the play DRC at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa on Saturday.
Lunga, who sustained an ankle injury at his South Africa base over the weekend, said it is unfortunate he could not make it for the battle against Congo.
“My heart is with the team,” he said.
“I wish I was there making history with my teammates, it is sad I couldn’t make it. But I know the team will not disappoint.
“I wish my boys all the best and I am praying for them.
“It is time we take our country to the global map, and qualifying for AFCON can help us achieve that dream,” Lunga said.
Lunga added that he is recovering well and it is definite he will make it for the next Warriors assignment if a chance is presented.
“I am recovering well, the injury is not that serious.
“The physio said I need only two weeks to get back to groove, so by the time we play the next game in November, I will be well and fit to play,” he added.
Zimbabwe host DRC in the return leg at the National Sports Stadium in Harare next Tuesday.
