SONGBIRD Ammara Brown has been named Brand Ambassador of Parul University in India.

The ambassadorship role comes after the university searched for appropriate African brands to partner with and picked Ammara.

Speaking to H-Metro, the diva said she was grateful for the opportunity to represent her country.

“My social media following of over one million people impressed authorities from Parul University.

“Since I am also an actress, motivational speaker and television personality, they knew I would be well-spoken,” she said.

Ammara, who studied music at tertiary level, said she was happy to be part of a university, which has changed people’s lives.

“The university aims to prepare students for life after varsity, with a highly functional campus.

“I was privileged to visit Parul University as they are expanding the campus to accommodate their ever growing student population and ever expanding courses,” she said.

She said the university’s student body comes from over 60 countries, including Zimbabwe.

“Zimbabweans have always been known for their high standards of education.

“Zimbabweans are high achievers worldwide, it would be excellent to see our nation represented even more in India and, after all, we can all learn from each other.”

Parul University is located in Vadodara, Gujarat.

It was established in 2009 and later given university status in 2015.
