AMERICAN celebrity chef and author, Carla Hall, is set to spend her vacation in Zimbabwe.
She will visit Mbare and Highfield, two of the most iconic suburbs of Harare.
The celebrity said she will also eat sadza and macimbi during her stay in this country.
Carla normally gets time off work and goes on vacation once a year.
And, this year, she is spending it touring Zimbabwe.
She said her visit was inspired by the fascinating tales which Hollywood-based Zimbabwe entrepreneur Jacqueline Mgido told her about the country.
“I am coming to Zimbabwe in September and I am going to visit Mbare, Highfield, Glen Norah, Victoria Falls and all the other beautiful places Jacque is always telling me about.
“What piqued my interest in the country is Jacque’s description of the country.
“She speaks about it all the time and I thought to myself why not take a tour around the country and see what it is like for myself?
“I am also going to eat sadza and macimbi, and meet all the amazing people, I am so excited,” she said.
Carla spent seven years co-hosting ABC’s Emmy award-winning lifestyle series “The Chew”. She is currently featuring as a judge on Food Network’s “Thanksgiving, Holiday and Halloween Baking Championships.”
