HIGHLANDERS goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda is a relieved man following his penalty save against Nichrut on Saturday.
The save proved to be an important effort as it helped the Bulawayo giants salvage a point in a scoreless draw against the top flight debutants.
Sibanda however humbled himself by conceding that he was at fault in the build up to the penalty, which he saved.
He says he was relieved after the heroic moment.
“I felt relieved after the save because the error started from me.
“At the end the team deserves the applause because it was a combined effort to get a point,” he said.
Sibanda has been one of the top goalkeepers in the country with 11 clean sheets in 19 league matches.
“I believe hard work has brought me this far. It was not easy but through training it became possible.
“I have taught myself one thing, which is to have faith in myself. From the beginning of my career I never stopped having confidence in myself and I am certain that this is what has made me the man I am today” he said.
