Highlanders skipper Ariel Sibanda has urged their fans to remain united and be patient as he promises brighter days.

The Bulawayo giants, who had a poor start to the season, are playing high-flying Ngezi Platinum at Barbourfieds on Sunday.

Bosso started the 2021/22 Castle Lager Premiership season with a 2-0 defeat away to Black Rhinos.

In an interview with H-Metro Sport yesterday, Sibanda pleaded with Bosso fans.

“I believe it is high time we step up, but we do not have to put ourselves under pressure. We just have to be patient, results will come.

“There are still plenty games to play and am confident that tables will turn. The night is still young, we have been working on our weaknesses and rectifying our mistakes,” said Sibanda.

He highlighted that playing at home will not give them an edge over their opponents.

“We always approach every game with confidence. It is going to be a different atmosphere but our approach will remain the same.

” It is a 50/50 situation. Playing at home might give us the advantage and it may not. I am sure that our fans will be expecting a lot from us and we have new players in the squad who will be playing in a half packed Barbourfields stadium for the first time and their reaction can not be obvious,” he said.

He added:

“Our motto will live forever, the slogan is there to remind us that at Highlanders we are family, we remain united and I can assure that good days are coming.”
