CAPS United new signing Clive Augusto says he is ready to shine in the green and white colours.
Augusto was roped in as a direct replacement of Ishmael Wadi who departed for South Africa Glad Africa Championship side JDR Stars.
In an interview with H-Metro Sport yesterday, Augusto said:
“It is an honour to play for a big club like CAPS United. The expectations are always high and that is what we dream of as players. We all love the carnival atmosphere that comes from such a great club. I have been adapting well at training. I am gaining the ground with speed and it is my desire to deliver as expected.
“I am hungry to introduce myself in CAPS United colours. What I have done in the past at this point does not matter at all. It is a new race and am very eager to make my mark in green and white jersey.
“The welcome which I received was praiseworthy, they made me feel at home and it makes it easy for me to concentrate on my objectives. My dream is to win trophies with Caps United,” said Augusto.
Augusto won the Castle Lager Premiership golden boot in 2019 after scoring 14 goals for Chicken Inn, despite not playing the remaining six months of the season after he departed for Maritzburg United of South Africa.
Makepekepe are scheduled to play Harare City next week Thursday in the Chibuku Super Cup at the National Sports Stadium.
Both teams are tied on the second position on the Group 1 log separated with the superior goal difference.
