BABOON CURSE REVERSED. . . 40-minute video captures reversal

A SANGOMA from Nyanga says he has reversed a curse in which he ‘sent baboons’ to collect a debt from a man he had helped.

Our sister newspaper, Manica Post, exclusively reported that Innocent Ndaruza (29) claimed he was helped by Sekuru Chihwa, in February, and failed to pay him back.

The sangoma claims he can help people recover stolen property.

Two months after failing to pay, Sekuru Chihwa is said to have ‘sent baboons’ to Innocent and his wife while they were asleep.

It is said Innocent and his wife would also hear some singing outside their house, even during the day, and voices would shout that he needed to pay his debt to Sekuru Chihwa.

Manica Post said Innocent would sometimes be visited by either ‘one baboon or a whole troop.’

After Innocent pleaded for help, through Manica Post, Sekuru Chihwa conducted a 40-minute ritual to undo his curse in the Diamond FM studio on Monday afternoon.

“I needed help but had no money,” said Innocent.

“I lost my job and we looked for money, but he said he no longer wanted the money because vane mhiko dzavanga vaisa, and the days we agreed had lapsed.”

Sekuru Chihwa said:

“On February 7, I assisted him as he was saying that chiraramo chakavhara, and I helped him until he got a job.

“We agreed that he should pay me within two months.

“When he got that money, I was not there, but I knew that he got the money.

“On March 11, did he not get more money which exceeded the money I wanted?

“Did he look for me?

“Mbiri yangu yematare yanga yakuda pfuma iyoyo yava mazana mana nemakumi mashanu.

“But, I made it easy for him since he came for help, zvaaichemera hazvina kuita here when he came for help?

“Today, he should pay me US$150 and do what I say here.

“He should do as I say, and I will reverse the curse.”

When Innocent was asked why he didn’t pay on time, he responded that he didn’t know what was happening.

Sekuru Chihwa then conducted the ritual pleading for the reversal of the curse.

“Ndakuchema sununguro, ndakuchema kusungurwa kwake kuhombiro yedzukunuro.

“Simba nyamuzezera ndakupeta dare, isa pfuma yangu umu.

“Ndakuita mhiko yechipiko chesununguro, ndiri kusunungura mhiko yechiitiko chakaitika marimwezuro.

“Imi mashibiana, nematare, ndakukumbira sununguro nedzikunuro kuropa rake.

“We say makorokoto kuropa rako waenda nerusununguro.

“Pazuva ramangwana, tikada matare ngatingoitei zvatinenge takawirirana.

“Ndakusunungura, ndoti makorokoto kwauri. Hapana chichazoipa asi manake ndiwo aachange achisangana navo.”

After the reversal, Innocent said:

“I thank sekuru and my advice is that people have to honour payments dzematare.”

The sangoma claimed that he will be seeing people he helps wherever they are if they don’t pay up.

“I don’t have any problem with their money. If I charge them US$1, just pay me that money.

“Many people are happy with what I do.

“Those people who go to church are the ones who are coming to me by night. But, I am saying, people should come straight because everything goes through Musikavanhu. In Psalms 35, there is a story of David seeking God, to discipline the wicked. Wakaipa haafanire kunzwirwa tsitsi. Varoyi ngavafe.”
