DANCEHALL chanter Bazooker had a rare experience to play at a private party in Johannesburg for the first time.
The Kumba Kwedu hitmaker thrilled the invited guests as champagne and whiskey flowed.
The venue of the party was at Innocent Pub and they were celebrating birthdays of socialites Barbington Mazhanga and Boss Vusi on Sunday night.
Organisers of the bash was Kempton Park-based Mbare Boys fronted by Fadiga and Tasha Events. Two large cakes modelled in Hennessy and Johnny Walker Black Label.
“We planned the bash just to celebrate life. It’s not always that you get such opportunities and we found it fit we celebrate our own. Boss Babbie and Boss Vusi have been supporting a number of initiatives and event here in Jozi and it was fitting that friends and relatives joined in,” said Fadiga.
Bazooker was overawed by the love he got from the fans.
“I feel humbled to get such a reception. It shows I am doing something that people like. It gives me more energy to do even better next time,” said Bazooker after his performance.
Another former Chillspot singer Blot made a surprise appearance and gave a good performance. Blot is currently in South Africa where he has been performing at a number of venues. Others who performed include the Joburg-based Loud H while MC T Boss, DJ Diaspora and DJ Obvious from Lion Vibration kept the vibe alive all night.
