HERENTALS striker Tino Benza has expressed confidence in his side’s ability to turn around their Chibuku Super Cup campaign.
The students have lost twice and managed two draws in the four matches they have played so far.
They face Yadah at the National Sports Stadium this Saturday.
Despite the poor run, Benza is optimistic that they will collect maximum points to revive their chances of progressing to the next round of the competition.
“It’s a good feeling but I’m still disappointed we are not winning any games but hopefully on our next match we will do better,” he told H-Metro.
“Against Yadah, we really need to up our game. And find those winning goals. We do get a lot of opportunities but we are not taking them.”
Benza said they need to improve more on their finishing.
“We are not taking opportunities, every match we come up with more clear cut scoring chances but we are not managing to convert,” he said.
Benza has since set sight to the quarter-finals of the Cup.
He believes they still have a chance as they are still to play round two of the matches.
“Hopefully we come up in the top two and proceed to the quarter-finals.”
Benza scored during his side’s 2-1 defeat to Harare City on Saturday a development which he describes as confidence booster for him.
The 20-year-old was also named player of the match during their goalless draw encounter with Dynamos in their opening fixture of the Cup.
He, however believes he is on course in his football career as he also targets more cup goals.
“I guess I’m improving. It’s a process and I have to trust it. I am working hard and looking forward to a great playing season.
“I’m targeting more goals. It’s just the beginning, we have played four games now and there is still six more, possibly if we qualify, another four, I’m sure more goals will come.”
