KHAMA Billiat says his new hairstyle is temporary.
Billiat’s new hairstyle was the talk of social media during Kaizer Chiefs’ 3-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns at home on Saturday.
The Zimbabwean, who is known for his traditional Mohawk, showed off dreadlocks in Chiefs’ season opener.
And speaking to H-Metro yesterday, Billiat’s manager Godfrey Bakasa said those are faux locks and are temporary.
Faux locks, depending on maintenance usually lasts between three weeks to three months.
“It’s a hairstyle he wanted to try out, Billiat is not a limited person in terms of fashion and hairstyles and he won’t be afraid to try new things.
“This is not the first time to see Billiat trending with fashion and he is used to that.
“They are faux dreadlocks, so they are temporary. He used to have a Mohawk, the other time short hair among other haircuts.
“It’s just that this has grabbed attention and he has no problem with it,” said Bakasa.
He also spoke on opening the season on the losing end saying the Warriors star’s desire is to turn things around in today’s clash against Chippa United
“No one really wants to start on the wrong foot, whether you are playing the defending champions or a promoted side points are needed but unfortunately it wasn’t the day though the team showed some signs of hunger.
“The hope is to turn things around in the next game against Chippa and get a different and positive result. Khama is a winner and he doesn’t enjoy losing, his wish is to always keep smiles on the fans faces,” said Bakasa.
