WARRIORS star Khama Billiat is set to miss the first encounter of next month’s back-to-back World Cup qualifiers against Ghana after accumulating two yellow cards.
Team manager Wellington Mpandare confirmed the development to H-Metro Sport yesterday saying they have already started working on ensuring that United Kingdom-based players are available for the matches.
Mpandare said efforts are underway to have players like Marvelous Nakamba, Tendayi Darikwa, Macauley Bonne, David Moyo, Brendan Galloway and Admiral Muskwe travel for the matches.
“It’s sad that we are going to miss Khama but he will be available for another game,” said Mpandare.
“Ghana is not red zoned, so we are trying to make preparations that they come.
“So we are hoping that they will be able to make it this time around,” he said.
The Warriors are set to leave to their respective leagues today straight from Ethiopia.
They are at the bottom of the group with only a point with South Africa on top with four points while Ethiopia and Ghana are on three.
