LAST YEAR’S LM Cup Auctioneers title holders Black Rhinos Queens say they are looking forward to the 2017 season.

The uniformed forces’ side are set to begin training for this season mid-February with players currently off season.

Black Rhinos secretary Panganai Mahachi said they want to work on the team’s game plan this year and increase the competitive level of the team.

“We will start training mid-February and the ladies are on a break now. What we want to work on this coming season is how to improve our game plan and maintain the level of competitiveness as Black Rhinos.

“We want to become even better with the upcoming challenges. We ended last season as the Northern Region runners up but we hope to retain the title,

“Hopefully the Super League will come back and we want to fight for the championship title,” Mahachi said.

“This season we will play,” he added.

Black Rhinos emerged as the 2016 LM Cup champions which they have won twice in a row.

They ended the Northern Region season as runners up after Herentals Ladies snatched the title.

The team has so far confirmed they will have Mighty Warriors rookie Mavis Chirandu on board.

Black Rhinos is home to national team key players, Mighty Warriors’ Emmaculate Msipa, Rutendo Makore, Felistas Muzongondi, Rufaro Machingura, Daisy Kaitano, Eunice Chibanda, Patience Mujuru, Kudakwashe Basopo and captain Talent Mandaza.
