A PRIMARY school teacher lost goods worth US$1 615 to thieves on Sunday.

Shupikai Sibanda (46) lost an HP laptop, one hair iron, wallet and laptop charger when thieves broke into his cottage at Blakiston Primary School in Harare.

Acting Harare provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Faith Mapisa, urged anyone with information on the theft to come forward and assist them.

“Circumstances are that on February 4 at around 6am, a teacher woke up and went to the fowl run to feed his chickens. When he returned, he noticed that there was a break-in at his workmate’s room.

“He realised that a thief managed to open the window and used an unknown object to break the burglar bar and gained entry into the house and stole goods worth US$1 615,” said Ass-Insp Mapisa.
