MUTARE-BASED gospel musician, Blessing Shumba, says he is putting final touches to his ninth album titled Shumba yekwaJudha due for release next month.
The album carries seven tracks.
In an interview, Shumba said songs on this album seek to strengthen believers in these trying times.
“Hope and faith in Jesus Christ is the message on our new album.
“I am putting final touches on the album, which will hit the market in April.
“I will tell you the actual date in due course, but what I can assure you is that it is a rich project. Brace to be blessed, it’s a balanced album,” he said.
Some of the songs on this album include Munyu, Mwari Munoshamisa, Rudo rwaMwari and the title-track Shumba yekwaJudha.
The new offering has been recorded at his recording studio; Psalmist Studios in Mutare.
Asked about collaborations in the forthcoming album, he said:
“No one is featuring on this album.
“Maybe I will have to do another project with friends later.”
Shumba encouraged people to continue observing rules set to combat the spread of Covid-19.
“I understand the restrictions have been loosened, but I urge people to continue observing all the orders from health experts.
“It shall come to pass. The presence of God in our lives will change our different situations,” he said.
To date, Shumba has eight albums to his credit namely Ishe Wazvose, NdiMwari, Shongwe, NdiJesu, Calvary, My Season, NdiMweya and Heal Our Land.
