BLESSING Shumba’s mentee, Benny Muzanamombe, is set to release his fifth album on April 1.
Titled Muparidzi Mutema, the six-track album will be launched at the corner of Chinhoyi Street and Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in Harare’s CBD.
He featured his mentor, Shumba, on the track named Makamira Muropa.
Muzanamombe is more of a songwriter and his music offers Christians an opportunity to self-introspect in terms of their commitment to serving God while providing a non-believer thirst for the original concentrate of God’s word.
Speaking to H-Metro, the award-winning artist said he did not face any challenges during the production and the album seeks to look for more souls for the kingdom of God.
“My source of inspiration has always been the word of God.
“I relate day-to-day life to the word of God and encourage people to be earnest in their serving of the Lord.
“I recorded my first project in 2017 and since then I have recorded singles, EPs and four albums,” he said.
Muzanamombe is a graphic designer and runs a small business as well.
He did a social commentary on a song titled, Mhandara DzaMwari, and will start working on collaborations after the launch.
He won two awards at the Zimbabwe South Africa Gospel Music Awards.
One of his tracks, Vafudzi Vemakwai, was number one on Radio Zimbabwe Gospel Top 50 and National FM top 50 last year.
