TALENT Zim dancehall chanter Blot and Kinnah are reportedly no longer seeing eye to eye as the former claims he is the new Mr Mbare in his new song.
Blot, who has relocated from Sunningdale to Mbare, feels he has the credentials to take the crown from Kinnah who is considered the ‘voice of reason’ in this genre.
Blot is buoyed by the success of his latest single titled Moyo Wangu, which is already circulating in the streets and clubs.
He starts the track with an intro that says ‘Mr Mbare vanyowani ndakuchinja chipattan’.
There was only one Mr Mbare in the Zimdancehall fraternity and that is Kinnah, who says he was given that title by the people and earned it through hard work and his talent.
“I am surprised to hear that Blot now calls himself Mr Mbare.
“I was given that title by the people and who gave him that title Mr Mbare?
“I worked hard for that title and he should be careful because those utterances he is making may affect his career negatively,” Kinnah told H-Metro.
Kinnah’s manager, Wadis, said they are not worried about Blot’s controversial intro on his new singles and maybe he adores Kinnah.
“We are not worried about what he sings.
“He can do what he thinks it’s good and necessary for him.
“But if he thinks taking other artiste’s title is reasonable or a noble idea, achazongogumisira akuzviti Makuruwane kana kuti Soul Jah Love.
“We are not into conflict, asi kana achizvikwanisa kuzvimirira ngaaite.
“Maybe the force behind Blot’s words is because he admires the real Mr Mbare, Kinnah,” said Wadis.
