BOOST FOR CITY RESIDENTS AS COUNCIL REGULARISES STANDS

HARARE City Council plans to legalise 1,167 stands in Warren Park, Kambuzuma, Hatfield, Waterfalls, Sunningdale, Strathaven, Mabelreign, Kuwadzana, Dzivaresekwa and Glaudina.

Town Clerk, Hosiah Chisango, said the regularisation procedure will be carried out in accordance with the Urban Councils Act, and that objections must be lodged in writing on or before January 30.

Inspections of the earmarked parcels of land will be open until the end of January. 

The council intends to allocate the legalised lands to those in need of housing.

In Warren Park, the council will regularise allocation of 320 residential stands depicted on Plan TPX/WR/06/16 in Warren Park Township to 3 Glory and Josiah Housing Pay Schemes and allocate 80 stands to other applicants on the housing waiting list.

There are 178 residential stands on plan TP2F/WR/12/23 in Warren Park Township for Sunungukai Housing Pay Scheme and the council will allocate 45 stands to other applicants on the housing waiting list.

According to the notice, 121 residential stands were depicted on Plan TP2FWR/11/23 in Warren Park Township to the Arch Grace Housing Pay Scheme and the council will allocate 30 stands to those on the waiting list.

The Council said it would continue to regularise allocation of 24 residential stands depicted on Plan TP2F2443/1 in Warren Park Township to Sisonke Housing Pay Scheme and allocate six stands to other applicants.

Council said it will allocate 11 stands in Kambuzuma to applicants on the housing waiting list, while also regularising allocation of 13 residential stands depicted on Plan TPR/ER/41/17 in Hatfield to 13 beneficiaries on the waiting list.

Also 19 residential stands depicted on plan TPR/ER/11/16 in Hatfield would be regularised to 19 beneficiaries from the waiting list.

There will be allocation of 29 residential stands depicted on plan TP2/ER/05/17 in Waterfalls Prospect to 29 beneficiaries from the waiting list.

A block of 42 residential stands depicted on plan TPF/2F/CR/05/15/1 in Sunningdale to Maworesa Housing Pay Scheme will be regularised and 19 stands will be allocated to other applicants. The 15 stands depicted on plan TPF/WR/28/20 in Strathaven will be allocated to various beneficiaries on the waiting list and allocation of 11 stands depicted on Plan TPF/WR/89/18 in Mabelreign regularised.

The allocation of 147 residential stands depicted on plan number TP2F/WR/23/12 allocated to Kuwadzana Consortium Housing Pay Scheme and 35 residential stands depicted on Plan No TP2F/WR/14/18/1 in Dzivaresekwa allocated to Dzivaresekwa Group 28 and Group 7 housing pay schemes will be regularised.

Twenty-two residential stands on plan TPF/WR/72/19 in Dzivarasekwa allocated to Dzivarasekwa Group 22 Housing Pay Scheme will also be regularised along with the allocation of 28 residential stands on plan TPX/WR/09/17 in Glaudina allocated to Glaudina Housing Pay Scheme and other applicants on the waiting list.
