Bosso make up for last week’s shame

Highlanders…………(1)2

Yadah Stars…………..0

HIGHLANDERS celebrated a win against visiting Yadah Stars in a Castle Lager Premiership match played at Barbourfields in which they missed a glut of chances yesterday.

Bosso could have scored more goals had they been precise and shown more hunger.

Bosso were good at retaining ball possession, but their frontline was blunt.

The first goal was scored by defender Mbongeni Ndlovu in the 36th minute.

At just as the fans started trooping out of the stadium, substitute Washington Navaya doubled the score by nodding home a fine delivery from the right flank on the stroke of full time to send the Bosso faithful into frenzy.

For the better part of the day, Bosso created numerous chances, but their forwards took turns to miss.

Yadah were seemingly content with trying to catch Highlanders on the counter, but that tactic did not work.

The introduction of young Calvin Chigonero and Prince Ndlovu for Highlanders, deep into the second half, added some firepower and a bit more creativity upfront for the Bulawayo giants.

Yadah’s substitutions did not make much of a difference, as they found the Bosso back line difficult to breach.
