HIGHLANDERS have re-appointed Kelvin Kaindu as head coach ahead of the 2024 season.

He takes over from Baltemar Brito whose contract was not renewed following a disappointing conclusion to the 2023 Castle Lager Premiership campaign.

Kaindu played for Highlanders in 1997 and then returned as coach between 2012 and 2014.

“The entire management and the club would like to extend a warm welcome to Kaindu and wish him all the best as he opens yet another chapter with Highlanders Football Club,” said Highlanders in a statement Tuesday.

Highlanders had a promising start to the 2023 season and led by seven points after 19 unbeaten games but collapsed in the second half of the campaign in which they had the fourth worst record.
