HIGHLANDERS have given a positive update regarding the injury suffered by midfielder Brighton Manhire during their 0-0 stalemate with Bulawayo Chiefs at Barbourfields on Sunday.
He only lasted 13 minutes on the pitch before he was taken off.
Bosso have not been lucky with injuries to key players this season.
Godfrey Makaruse, Darlington Mukuli and Devine Mhindirira, who are key players in the squad, have seen little action on the field due to injury.
Makaruse and Mukuli have been ruled out for the rest of the season and it looks highly unlikely playmaker Mhindirira will see any further action this season.
Mason Mushore is another player who is also out for a lengthy period with an arm injury.
Highlanders communications officer, Nozibelo Maphosa, yesterday had some good news on Manhire’s injury status.
“He has an ankle injury and also sprained his medial collateral ligament of the knee, but it’s all mild. He is likely to be there in the next match,” said Maphosa.
