ORGANISERS of the Castle Lager National Braai Fest are keen to score big with the inaugural staging of a two-day fete slated for this Friday and Saturday at Old Hararian Sports Club.
To cement their efforts, a star-studied lineup featuring dancehall star Winky D, Freeman, Killer T, Ex-Q and Takura will entertain fans.
In fact, the all-male lineup will see the entertainers splitting into festival day one and two ushering patrons to consume meat at a subsidised price and the Castle lager at pump price.
Killer T and Ex-Q have been tasked to give pundits a reflection of the national braai day as they perform first on Friday night.
The Friday date, has been moved backwards to only begin after 4pm allowing patrons to take part in the national anti-sanctions campaign.
The braai fest day two on Saturday will see Winky D, Freeman and Takura alternating under one roof as the braai fest continues unfolding.
Gates will open at 11 am.
Delta corporate affairs executive, Patricia Murambinda, has urged people to attend the event in their numbers and be part of the two day history.
“We are urging people to come link up and merry during the Castle Lager National Braai day where they will create memories for themselves.
“The event has been complimented by good music, the braai and sipping on a beer that makes it all come together,” she said.
In the running to the event, organisers hosted a number of micro braai festivities around the country with the consumed meat set to be included on the braaiometer.
The last Castle Lager braai fest held in 2017 recorded at least 15 132kgs consumed by more than 16 000 people.
Top wheel-spinners including Judgment Yard, Dj Storm, Merciless Zimbabwe, Dj Eve, Raydizz, Templeman and Gary B will also be on rotation.
