The State has applied to have the kombi driver who is accused of kidnapping 25 pupils from David Livingstone School, be mentally examined because he is showing signs of instability.
The suspect, 60 year old Samuel Honde, appeared in court this afternoon and was remanded in custody to February 2.
Prosecutor Kelvin Munyimi applied to have Honde mentally examined pending trial because he ‘is showing signs of mental illness.’
Honde’s lawyer, Malvern Mapako consented to the application to have his client examined.
