WARRIORS and SuperSport striker Evans Rusike is buoyant ahead of the Afcon decider against Congo-Brazzaville at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Rusike has promised to seal a memorable victory for the country saying “we are ready for Egypt and bring on Congo.”
Zimbabwe top of Group G with eight points and only need a point to qualify for the Afcon finals to be hosted by Egypt in June.
“First thing I just want people to come in numbers, and then all of us should be happy at the end of the day.
“We want to win and they want the result, so we just want everyone to be happy at the end of the day.
“So we need to qualify for AFCON,” he said.
He added they have home advantage though it will not be an easy encounter.
“It’s going to be a different ball game because they also have something to play for.
“They will come with an attacking mind. So we are expecting more attacks and also for them to be solid,” he said.
Rusike had a knock in their last game against Kaizer Chiefs last week on Friday in the ABSA and there were concerns on his fitness but he assured the nation of his availability.
“Actually it was around 80th minute that was when l got substituted, it was a tactical change it wasn’t that bad you know.
“It was for the team’s sake to put someone who was 100 percent fit. I was still limping and I am okay now,” he said.
“We are only 90 minutes away from deciding our fate and as a player we are expecting a tough game because they also have the chance.
“But we are just focusing on ourselves since we are playing at home, we just have to do well. Then we will see ourselves in Egypt.”
