BULAWAYO City are hoping their coach Try Ncube will get an exemption from Zifa ahead of the 2020 Premiership season.

Ncube does not possess a CAF A licence, which is a requirement to coach in the top-flight.

Yesterday City told H-Metro that they are working on their squad while waiting for the Zifa nod.

The club’s spokesperson Thandie Moyo said they are not being deterred by the coach’s licence issue.

“On the coach’s issue we are still waiting for feedback from Zifa on the exemption we requested.

“We are working on our 2020 squad. In terms of new signings, we will be advising on who we would have signed but currently we still have our 2019 players.”

Asked if they are releasing some of the players, Moyo said negotiations are still underway.

“For the moment we can’t say we are releasing or not. There are some players who are out of contract but negotiations are still in progress.”
