Organisers of the Burna Boy Concert set for Hellenic Sports Club on April 17 say they are monitoring the Coronavirus issue but the show is still slated for the advertised date.
“At the moment we are observing how things are turning out, we are preparing for the event.
“Anything that comes up will surely communicate,” said Elton Kurima, the event coordinator.
The potentially exciting show will also feature local acts compromising Jah Prayzah, Winky D, Enzo Ishall, Tamy, Ammara Brown and Suluman Chimbetu among others.
The Nigerian star (Burna Boy) who is currently riding high with his album “Africa Giant”, will be making a second return to the country.
He will perform with a live band and is expected in the country on April 16.
Despite the show being dubbed ‘expensive’ by some people, the organisers also revealed that VIP tickets selling at US $100 are almost out.
“The VIP tickets are almost sold out, and those that want to purchase can get them online,” added Kurima.
Kurima also revealed that they that their official sponsor of the event was Sahwira Events and Life Style.
“We are really excited to have Sahwira come on board as the official sponsor.
“Them coming on board is a plus to the industry were organisations are teaming up to build the arts industry,” he added.
