Gospel musician Carol Nyakuba has released her debut album titled Makanaka Mwari.
The album carries four tracks namely Down the valley, Tinotenda, title track Makanaka Mwari and Tenzi Taungana.
The songs were produced by Nigel Nyangombe.
Speaking to Nyakuba who is also a pastor at UFIC, she said fellow gospel musicians like Minister Mahendere and Janet Manyowa inspired her.
“My role model is my spiritual mother, Ruth Makandiwa but music wise I look up to a lot of our own gospel artistes like Mahendere, Janet and others like Sinach and Mercy Chinwo.
“I grew up in a family of singers where my mom and dad used to sing at church.
“I then joined UFIC Choir in 2010 and I’m still a member of the choir. I sing gospel music because that’s my lifestyle.
“As a Christian I love to always give praise and Worship to the Lord.
“I also grew up passionate about the word of God and wanting to spread the gospel through music.
“I am grateful because the Lord has been faithful to me since the day I started this journey of singing.”
“The Lord has been helped me balance my musical and wife duties.
“They all need attention and I’m glad I have been able to balance them.”
Nyakuba released her first single “Beauty of God” in 2018.
