With two games left in the Premier Soccer league the championship looks like a two-horse race now between CAPS United and FC Platinum.
Chicken Inn might still have slim chances to overtake the two if both teams drop crucial points in their final two matches but only a miracle will work in their favour.
Here are some predictions by football experts:
“I believe CAPS United will clinch it and their last matches seemed tough but I think that will motivate them.
“If they beat Ngezi Platinum, then it would be FC Platinum under pressure come last match of the season. That is provided FC platinum wins their next match.
“With CAPS United playing well and winning the derby, I believe that boost will carry them over the line. I’m sure CAPS is a professional team and they have been doing things professionally.
“So they need to continue with what they have been doing that got them where they are. They also need to stay focused and approach their matches the same way.
“They can’t be two champions so I believe CAPS United have what it takes to win it.”
Genesis Mangombe- Yadah coach:
“I think FC Platinum will win it because if you look at the fixtures like now FC platinum has a got an upper hand because their next fixture it’s not going to be that difficult.
“They are being underdogs because everyone is just looking at CAPS United and forgetting that they (CAPS) are the ones who will be under pressure with their final two tough fixtures against Ngezi and FC Platinum.
“When we played against CAPS they were not that impressive because they played the game underrating us so the game will not be that difficult to FC Platinum.
“As for CAPS united playing against Ngezi Rodwell Dhlakama who is vying for Ngezi Platinum permanent job next season is going to be difficult for them.
“He is trying by all means to get the contract so he is going to win especially playing a big team like CAPS and he is proving to be the best coach there with the results he is producing.
“Also Ngezi are going for honours and a top four finish this season so I think FC Platinum will win it.”
Newman Mashipe- Mushowani coach:
“I think CAPS United will win it and they are playing good football and a times they have the luck at their side.”
Herbert Maruwa- Black Rhinos coach:
“It’s still early because it’s a three team race because Chicken Inn are still there but since CAPS United and FC Platinum are favourites they just need to win their two remaining games.”
Thomas Chinyan’anya- Chapungu coach:
“Any team between CAPS United and FC Platinum can do it because they all have the chances. You never know with football remember they are still two games to play so any team can do it.”
Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva- Herentals coach:
“It’s still a tight race but I feel CAPS United have all the advantage to clinch it. The main reason being that they have to play FC Platinum their last game because home advantage and statistics shows that they normally perform well against the miners.”
