A MATAPI Flats woman yesterday took her neighbour to court, accusing her of blocking her from accessing water, their shared bathrooms and labelling her a witch.
Paidamoyo Pasawaure applied for a peace order against her neighbour, Talent Nyamuzinga.
“We reside at the same flat and we share water and a bathing room, but she bars me from using them.
“I once reported her at Matapi Police Station, but the police could not find her, and later advised me to approach this court.
“When she was served with court papers, she didn’t respond, but rather we have been seeing stones from an apostolic church sect and charms on our door, alleging that I was bewitching them,” said Paidamoyo.
Talent opposed the allegations saying Paidamoyo was fabricating lies.
“She is my neighbour, but I do not talk to her. I do not even talk to her children, and I do not even approach her place of residence,” said Talent.
Magistrate Sharon Mashavira granted Paidamoyo the peace order.
The order states that Talent must refrain from insulting Paidamoyo or her children with vulgar words, and she must allow her to access shared water and bathroom facilities, and must not label her a witch.
