Bellarmine Chatunga, son to the late former president Mugabe, was yesterday given the responsibility to open his father’s casket before a public viewing.
Chatunga as the youngest son, was allowed to pave way as he made sure the body looked descent before his mother and close family members followed the procession.
He was joined by his elder brother Robert Jnr and brother-in-law Simba Chikore.
Mugabe’s youngest son wore dark glasses, jeans and a designer t-shirt for the occasion.
Chatunga, in recent social media posts, described his relationship with his late father as close.
He said they moved from ‘father and son’ to ‘best friends’.
Chatunga and his siblings had the luxury of enjoying ice cream from their VIP seats.
