AMAZULU player Talent Chawapiwa says he is now fit after an injury in their 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
Chawapiwa gave the opponents a torrid time, which saw him set up Bongi Ntuli for the only goal of the game.
He was later stretchered off due to an injury.
“I’m now 100 percent fit. It was just a nock, I started feeling some discomfort in my legs but now I am okay.
“I’m okay and will be able to play the next game if I’m chosen to play,” he said.
AmaZulu are one of the teams that is facing relegation and Chawapiwa is optimistic of survival.
“I am happy that we won the game because we are facing relegation and every maximum points count at this stage we are on.
“I saw the opportunity to create a goal then I had to assist to Ntuli who was open and who I know would utilize that chance created. I’m happy that I did.
“I’m also grateful that I managed to have a meaningful contribution towards us fighting relegation on Saturday
“We want to do all we can to make sure that we keep our hopes of survival alive/
“And as player I want to do my all for my team, I am hopeful that we won’t get relegated,” he said.
Chawapiwa was not the only Zimbabwean player to be injured in the clash, Butholezwe Ncube had to be replaced late in the second half as well.
Ncube says he is still waiting for the doctor’s report.
“I’m injured and I went to the hospital. I’m still in pain.
“And I think will be out don’t know for how long because I’m still waiting for the doctor’s report.
“I think I will know today,” he said.
