BAROKA FC player Talent Chawapiwa says he is happy with being chosen to represent the country in the COSAFA Cup tournament.
The former FC Platinum star, who got in the country yesterday, said he is ready to play after a successful season in SA.
“My season at Baroka was great, we had a nice time there. I am happy that we managed to survive relegation. There are no complains because I had a great season.
“It feels great to be home after such a long time and I am looking forward to have a great time here.
“I am happy for this opportunity. It’s always a happy moment when you area chosen to represent the country.
“I thank the coach for choosing me and it also made me realize that what I am doing is being recognized. This drives me to do more,” he said.
Chawapiwa represented the country in the COSAFA tournament last year, which Zimbabwe won.
“I know it’s not the first time to represent my country but every moment seems like it’s the first time because you will always feel happy and grateful.
“It’s not an easy job because everyone will be looking up to you to see if you are really worth it, but I promise to do my best and make sure that I deliver.
“We hope to win this tournament just like what we did last year.
“We will do all we can to make sure that we reach the finals,” he said.
