Chegutu Pirates coach, Richard Chunga is confident ahead of their back-to-back clash against Beta XI when Northern Region action resumes next week.
“These are the kind of games that every coach want to show off talent and every player want to get back what he has lost,” said Chunga.
Pirates suffered a 2-0 defeat to Beta XI at home in their last game before the break.
Chunga did not watch the game since he was attending his father’s funeral.
He said Beta XI should expect the unexpected as Chegutu travel to their home.
“We are gunning to collect our lost points as we resume the season.
“If they managed to collect maximum points from us why can’t we do the same?
“My boys are ready for the challenge,” he said.
He said preparations are going on well at the break.
“Our preparations are going very well, as of now and we did not rest since the break.
“However, it’s sad to loss some of our players, we have Alexio Musindo going to Grain Tigers and Prince, who decided to be part of a Division Two team,” he said.
Chunga has also brought in new talent in a bid to secure a top five place.
“Even though we lost players to other teams, we are not weakened in any way since we have managed to accommodate Anyway Chibaya from Karoi United and our player Edmore Churu, who was out with an injury.
“We are building a very strong team which will collect maximum points to keep out target in shape,” he said.
He called on fans to be patient.
“I know that our fans want our team to be at the top but they should also understand what the boys are going through.
“They deserve to be called the Heroes of Chegutu Football because they are playing without any motivation, they are playing for the love of Chegutu,” he said.
