SUNGURA kingpin, Alick Macheso, says he is delighted with the response to his latest offering — ‘‘Tinosvitswa Nashe’’.
The six-track album, which was released on June 10, is the Orchestra Mberikwazvo frontman’s 12th album.
“The response is massive and the next step is to now take the album to the people,” Macheso tolf H-Metro.
And, to ensure that all his fans around the world get the chance to have a feel of the new album from live performances, Macheso has lined up a tour which will see him perform in different parts of the world.
The tour, which has been dubbed Tinosvitswa Nashe Tour, kicks off this weekend with a number of shows lined up in different parts of Zimbabwe.
Macheso invades Mashonaland West with shows in Chirundu on Friday, Saturday in Karoi and Sunday in Chinhoyi.
The following weekend, he travels to Bulawayo on July 1 and Gweru on July 2.
The road trip continues with shows in Guruve, Mt Darwin and Bindura on July 8, 9 and 10.

l WELCOME BASH AT PAMUZINDA
After a tour that will see Macheso performing around the country and other parts of the world, a massive welcome back show has been set for Pamuzinda in Kuwadzana Extension on September 3, 2022.
This will be the sungura kingpin’s first show in Harare in close to three months.
Event organiser, Partson Chimbodza of Chipaz Promotions, said preparations are already on course.
“Just like the album launch, this is going to be one of the big shows by Alick Macheso in Harare. He is now embarking on a tour and his fans in Harare and its environs will be starved for close to three months.
“We then decided to come up with something special, a big show at Pamuzinda, which is one of his favourite hunting grounds. This is just an announcement to the fans and other details will be revealed.”
Chipaz said it was a good decision by Macheso’s management to embark on this tour.
“I salute them for that, Macheso is a brand with a number of fans around the country and the world and they also want to see him perform.
“After such a commendable move, we decided to partner with them on this big show where they are going to welcome their fans,” said Chipaz.
Chipaz described Macheso as a lend who deserves the honour he is getting.
“He is a legend and the turnout at Aquatic Complex on the launch speaks volumes. The success of the Executive show sends a clear and bold message.
“We are joining other stakeholders as Chipaz Promotions in celebrating the life and success of Macheso while he is still with us.”
