FOREST RANGERS striker Thomas Chideu believes there is more to expect from him despite his fine form.
The 26 year old has been in top form after his return from an injury, which had kept him on the sidelines at the start of the season.

In an interview with H-Metro Sport yesterday, Chideu said:

“I am really happy that am getting there gradually. Scoring is always something that l should normalize as a striker. Am gaining confidence game by game and I believe I can do better.”

He expressed his delight of scoring in a fierce 1-1 derby draw with Zesco United over the weekend.

“Scoring in a derby of this level is something huge. I was overwhelmed. I am so grateful to God that l was able to get my name on the score sheet and helped the team to get a point.

“We fought really hard as a team and we did not deserve to share the spoils but somehow in football you have to be content with every result.

We will keep working hard as a team to get there at the top,” said Chideu.

He, also acknowledged that he is anticipating a tough encounter against his club’s former coach Tenant Chilumba, who is now with Kansanshi Dynamos.

“It is going to be a tough game. He knows most of us well and that makes the encounter interesting. We are going to challenge ourselves to go to the limits. We need to develop a winning mentality.

“Football is full of surprises, we are also preparing for them. We are hungry for results and either way we have to stand our ground
and win,” he said.
