MUSICIAN Admire “Chief Hwenje” Sibanda has dismissed reports that he was involved in an accident, which caused extensive damage to the brand new vehicle he was given by businessman Wicknell Chivayo.
Chief Hwenje said he had an operation outside the country, which might have prompted social media trolls to come up with their fake stories.
“I had an operation on my left leg in China because of a recurring vein problem,” he told H-Metro.
“I just ignored the social stories because social media users lie a lot.
“These liars are always making unfounded claims and they want to tarnish my image.
“However, I do believe that there is nothing like bad publicity.”
The Mai Welly singer told H-Metro he will not lose sleep over such sensational claims.
“I don’t mind if these liars continue spreading falsehoods because I am enjoying this a lot.
“What gives me the courage to go on is my talent.’
Chief Hwenje said he will release a single, titled Rimwe Zuva, today and it was his Christmas present to his fans.
He featured Mark Ngwazi on the song, whose release coincides with the Unity Day celebrations.
“The single is a teaser off our new album due for release in April next year.
“I have collaborated with several artists, including Suluman Chimbetu, and a friend from Botswana.”
