Ngezi Platinum new signing Kudzai Chigwida said he left Triangle for good as he wanted to come out of his comfort zone.

The 25-year-old defender said he is looking forward to new challenges.

Chigwida spent three season with Triangle having joined them in 2016.

He joins former teammates Marion Chang, Nyasha Chintuli and Anelka Chivandire, who joined Ngezi early last month from Triangle.

“I wanted a new environment, I have been at Triangle for a while.

“I know I was not going to grow at Triangle and I was comfortable there, when you are comfortable you relax, you also don’t exceed your potential.

“New challenges are a must if you want to achieve big. Triangle remains home to me,” said Chigwida.

Apart from being hungry for new challenges, Chigwida said Ngezi’s vision also made him chose them.

“I want to better my career and there is no better way to achieve that rather than starting by joining an ambitious club.

“The club is going for the championship and every player wants to join the winning team. We came here to win the league nothing more, nothing less.

“I want to play better than I did last season and hopefully to make a foreign move. Playing for the national team is part of my 2020 plans,” he added.

The former Buffaloes defender said he is grateful for what he has achieved at Triangle.

“Triangle made me the player that I am today. I would like to thank them for the three years we worked together.

“We achieved a lot, we created memories and they contributed heavily to all my success,” he said.

Chigwida said he has settled and is looking forward to what promises to be an explosive 2020 season.

The Norton based player said he also wanted to be close to home.
