DYNAMOS goalkeeper Simbarashe Chinani says he has adapted to life in Russia as he is attending trials with top-flight side, Rubin Kazan.
Chinani went with teammate Nigel Katawa.
Chinani said he has learnt a lot and is grateful for the opportunity.
“Our time here has been great. I have learnt a lot and I am looking forward to learn more.
“I have learnt new modern day goalkeeping skills and whichever way it goes I am grateful for those lessons, they will definitely better my career.
“This side they value time very much. They are organised,” said Chinani.
Chinani said they were initially affected by cold weather but have now settled.
“Russia is a good country; we were struggling in terms of the weather here as we were not used to it.
“Now it’s getting better because we are now getting used to it, our first two weeks was a disaster.
“Another issue was the type of food that is there, their food is written in in Russian, we were lucky we had someone who was helping us.
“We also had communication barriers, most people here don’t speak English,” he added.
He, however, remains optimistic to impress.
“There is hope, that is what I will be banking on,” added the 24-year old goalie.
Chinani is a free agent after the expiry of his contract in December last year.
