BAROKA captain Elvis Chipezeze says it feels good to be back after three weeks out due to injury.
The Warriors goalie played in their 1-0 win over Polokwane in the Nedbank Cup on Tuesday.
Chipezeze collided with Maritzburg United’s Judas Moseamedi in their ABSA Premiership match on January 26.
The 29-year-old was stretched off with his neck strapped and with an oxygen mask on after landing badly.
“It’s good to be back in action and it also feels nice that we progressed to the next round.
“I’m just happy to play because I had missed playing, I was supposed to be playing in the previous game but the coaches needed to make sure that I was 100 percent fit.
“So I got the green light to play and I think I’m okay and ready to deliver,” he said.
“Injuries are part of the game so I can’t really say it was a setback because if you play you are bound to get injured.
“It could’ve been worse but I’m glad that I was not out for a long time and now I’m back and ready to defend goals.”
Chipezeze is pleased with his season so far.
“My season has been okay, so far so good. Being named captain and being a regular player means that you’re doing well for the team.
“I just want to keep on giving my all for the team and make sure that we achieve its targets.
“After that I think I’d say I played my part in helping the team,” he said.
