DIVISION One side AGAMA FC patron, Malvern Moyo, has denied claims by the club’s head coach, Patson Muzawazi, that he assaulted him, after a loss to Karoi United, leaving the gaffer with a broken hand.

Muzawazi claims he was even struck by a brick in the commotion with Moyo leading the assault.

However, Moyo denies the claims.

“I am not aware of where the claims are coming from. We are a professional team and we have been doing well and we have lost only three games so there is no need for us to panic to the extent of bashing the coach,” said Moyo.

Muzawazi, is singing a different song and has officially lodged a complaint.

“I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Malvern Moyo, the Club Patron of Agama Football Club, concerning an incident of severe ill treatment and physical assault I endured on July 8, 2024.

“On the aforementioned date, I was summoned by Moyo to his mining premises under the impression that he intended to discuss matters regarding my financial entitlements.

“Instead, Moyo launched into a tirade of verbal abuse, unjustly accusing me of the team’s recent defeat against Karoi United.

“Despite my attempts to provide a factual explanation of the circumstances surrounding our defeat, Moyo became increasingly agitated and physically aggressive towards me.

“In a blatant display of aggression, Moyo physically attacked me, during which he wielded a brick that struck my arm, causing physical injury and considerable pain.”

Muzawazi added:

“Despite attempts by some of his workers to intervene and restrain the situation, another worker under Moyo’s employ also joined in the assault against me.

“This incident has not only caused me physical harm but has also left me deeply humiliated and distressed by the unjustifiable conduct displayed by Moyo.

“Such behavior is unacceptable and breaches both ethical standards and legal boundaries.

“I am formally requesting that the Agama Football Club address this matter promptly and take appropriate action.

“Furthermore, I am considering pursuing legal recourse in this matter and would appreciate swift intervention from the club to prevent such incidents from recurring. “
