…gives back to Jairos Jiri
MUSIC enthusiast Cossy Rules – real name Kosmas Daka – who turned 38 last Sunday will hold massive celebrations this Saturday.
Musicians Leonard Zhakata, Peter Moyo and Kireni Zulu along with local artistes Solo Moyo, Dman and Mostaff Matsveru are set to perform at the event slated for Waverley suburb.
As has become his tradition, the newly elected Ward 11 Councillor will also spend the day with children at Jairos Jiri Centre in Kadoma.
In an interview with H-Metro, the successful music promoter-cum-politician said giving back to the community runs in his DNA.
“Turning a year older means more grace and blessings from the Almighty.
“However, my birthday would mean nothing if I don’t share with the less privileged members of the society.
“As has become the norm, I will donate some groceries and clothes to Jairos Jiri Centre in Kadoma,” he said.
Cossy Rules said he will also take the opportunity to thank people in his constituency for their loyalty.
“As Councillor for Ward 11, we will hold a cleaning campaign in the ward whereby the youths will actively participate and identifying those who are less privilege that l will directly assist
“It will be Jairos Jiri and Ward 11 residents for a start,” he said.
After the cleaning up campaign, Cossy Rules said, a free bash will be held in Waverly.
“Pastor Zhakata, Peter Moyo and local artistes comprising Solo Moyo, Dman, Mostaff Mastveru and Kireni Zulu will perform at the event meant to unite the people of Kadoma and those I serve as their councillor,” he added.
Last year, Cossy Rules donated to Jairos Jiri and spent the day with children at the centre.
In 2016, he held a massive show which featured all the country’s household names at Odyssey Hotel.
After holding the massive show in 2016, Cossy Rules’ handlers have vowed to give back to the community by championing charity work.
